Comment: The sailship Plus was built 1886 in Hamburg at Blohm+Woss. It was a 1117 ton iron clad barque with 4 masts, 71 meters long and 11 meters wide. It sunk in storm 14th Decemeber 1933. It was empty of cargo and heading towards Marienmahn harbour in hard winter snowstorm. The captain assumed they would get assistance from the Kobbaklinttan pilot station nearby, but it was unmanned at the time because pilots were assisting another ship already and the pilots assumed that nobody else would attempt approach in such a storm. The storm pushed the ship against rocks and it listed severly dropping everything aboard to the sea and then sank on its port side. 12 of the crew perished and only 4 survived. The ship wreck lies on its port side at 25 degree list, bow towards the island shore at 20 meters deep, the stern is at 30 meters. The masts and all rigging have fallen to the bottom and lie out from the port side. One can see interior of the ship from several places. Plus is located near: 60° 2' 31.1892" N, 19°53' 52.3115" E
