We had arrived to the Orabi reef already previous evening for a night dive, which I skipped.
We had dinner and stayed over night, then the first morning dive here, wake up was 5:30.
Took both Canon 7D and GoPro on this dive.
Lost the GoPro camera at some point before 37 minutes of the dive when noticed it was gone.
This was at the swimthough entrace at south end, where there was a huge anomone bush with big clownfishes. I would have taken video at that point, but then noticed the Gopro was gone.
It was attached on top of the Ikelite housing with an Ikelite arm. Apparently a screw had become loose and the Gopro in it's housing had dropped off.
We went backwards our route and searched for the Gopro for 10 minutes but not finding it, and then returned back to the swimthrough entrance. The terrain had lots of coral patches and pinnacles, lots of cracks where the camera could have fallen.
After the unsuccesful camera search we went through the coral corridor and then returned to the boat.
No need to do safety stop as the last 15 minutes was in 6 meters.
After the dive breakfast and then boat sailed towards St.John's Caves site, right on the next reef.
