First dive of the last day. We would have gone to Elphinstone according to te original plan, but the wind was too strong, and captain decided to cancel Elphinstone. So we started the first dive near the place where we had stayed overnight.
This was Abu Dabab #2, one reef north from #3 where we did our first two dives of the trip.
The boat was moored between two reefs going east/west, and below us was the wreck of liveaboard ship "Paradise".
I have been at this site before, when the wreck still had more wood left of the hull. Now almost all wood was gone.
I had taken my camera with 60 mm zoom lens and one flash. Did not get very good pictures. So early in the morning the light was grey and visibility wasn't anyway very good. The site was pretty "dead", very little fish and not great variety of coral, quite boring.
We looked at the wreck then the south side of the reef going to east, then across coral garden and back to the boat along the northern reef. The stairs were right above one tall patch of coral at 5 meters.
Then for breakfast.
I started to wear a hood as the water felt cold, but according to computer it was 23 C, whereas it never was warmer than 24 during the entire trip.
Updated 2025-11-23 Place was Abu Dabab #2
