After work dive to Sandviken wreck on 2019-08-01.
I had prepared diving gear already in the morning and packed it to car.
Left office at 15:00 and drove to Porkala Marin harbour, where our boat Hinkki was.
Arrived there in about time and then we loaded the boat.
We were 6 divers: me, Pasi, Tomi, Jani, Markus, Jarkko.

Boat left harbour at 16:30.
Then arrived to the wreck location about 1 hour later.
We dropped one buoy at GPS location, but missed it by 20 m, so did it again while searching the wreck wit sidescan sonar. We spend about half an hour seraching before we were convinced that we found the wreck and dropped the bigger shotline.
As it is very deep here, we could not anchor the boat, so someone needed to drive it around main buoy all the time.
I dived with Pasi as 2nd pair. Jani and Jarkko stayed on boat to dive as last pair.
Pasi had CCR and bailouts. I had D12 with 19/30 TMX, 7L-Alu deko 53%.
I took pictures with Olympus TG-5 in PT-058, with AOI UWL-04 lens and 2x Nanight 4KLm video lights.

At the surface there was a current, so boat tried to drop us above the current.
I went down first and started following the shotline, but stopped at 20 m when I noticed that Pasi was not following. Waited for him for a moment, then started ascending to see what is going on. Saw first Tomi doing deco at 6 m, then finally Pasi coming down at 7 m. Then we continued together back down.
At the end of the line at 43 m the deck of the wreck appeared. The shotline had landed next to the starboard side of the wreck near the stern and the helm. So then me and Pasi started to dive on it. First we went to see the rudder and propeller, the towards the bow and back. Water was really clear and visibility good, but of course total pitch black darkness. My 2x4000 Lumen video lights came into good use.
Got some pretty good pictures:

As again this is an amazing wreck with lots of well preserved artifacts, lots to see.

All too soon the fun of 25 minutes was over, and we had to start ascending according to agreed plan.
I switched to 53% deco gas at 18 m. Pasi was on CCR.
Did a few stops following Shearwater at GF 35/80, and last stop at 3 m for 10 min.
Then back to surface. Total dive time 52 min.
Remaining gas: 108 bar on D12, 105 bar on deco tank -> less than 50% spent.

After we came up, Jani and Jarkko went diving. Then back to harbour, unload and refuel the boat.
It was a nice dive.
