2019-12-09 dive 7, Maaya Lagoon Mantas
The plan was that a strong light would be put on at the back of the boat and that light would then make plankton to rise from the bottom attracted by the light. Then Mantas from the lagoon would come to eat that plankton. That worked and soo after sunset we started seeing Mantas gathering under the boat. Jules went down to set up torches in a horseshoe formation, and the idea was that then all the divers would go down and stay on their knees behind the ring of torches, at the depth of 10 meters. The Mantas would then circle in front of use feasting the plankton dinner set up for them. This indeed worked and there were about 3 Mantas that we could watch for an hour. I took lots of pictures and video. After one hour of watching Mantas we came back up and then was dinner. It was a once in a lifetime experience.
I had not copied any pictures after first dive to Samsung, as the wifi took so long. Copying them using the new card reader stick from SD-card with laptop was really quick. Then tried how fast it works to Samsung phone and it was also really fast. Then deiced that I copy pictures from camera only using the memory card reader, and copy them both to laptop and phone. On the phone they actually got to another SD-card.
