I wanted to go on the 2nd dive to M451, but Riku and Kalle did not. So I joined as 3rd with another pair, Marko and Arto. I had my D12 Nitrox tanks filled with 32% and we were planning a very short dive, max 30 min at the wreck. Sun was already setting so this was definitely a night dive, though we didn’t see much daylight on the previous dive either. We went down the anchor chain and followed the chain going over the wreck and then all the way to the anchor. I took pictures along the way. The anchor chain had been caught by a big stone some 20 m from the wreck and that had caused it to slide over the wreck. After the stone the chain continued 90 degrees left, so if the chain would have ran straight from the anchor to Orbiit, then it would have gone past the wreck. We swam back to the wreck and then did a quick round around and then after 30 min we were back at the anchor chain and stared ascending, doing a long safety stop at 5 m. Then back to Orbiit. One team of divers had managed to lift the anchor chain away from the wreck, so now it was safe to winch the anchor up.
Orbiit then started sailing back to harbour, as we were supposed to have dinner at 8 PM. But we were not going to make that. We got to the harbour 8:45 PM, so dinner was going to be served at 9 PM. Maija and Vuoksi boats were already there. The dinner was served to the table and it was fried salmon as mains, and cake for dessert. After dinner we went to sauna. This evening the bar closed early and everyone was tired. I went to sleep early at midnight.
