Coolaroo kone

First open water and boat dive of 2020.
Due to coronavirus pandemic, the Kupla diving club operations had been suspended unit last week when we were able to start the season.
Hinkki boat was now in water and we were 8 divers going to dive Coolaroo.

I took along my latest camera rig to test it: Olympus TG-6 in PT-058, AOI UWL-4 lens. BGNing tray, attached on each side a Nanight video light attached to tray with two pieces of BGNing 8" carbon fiber float arms.
I also had serviced my regulators so this was test for them too.

Boat departed harbour at 10 am, then straight to Coolaroon wreck in fair weather, sunny and 14 degC. Not much wind nor waves.
At the site the bow section had buoy, but since we had one P1, we located the unmarked engine section and dropped anchor there.
Three pairs went to dive and I stayed onboard as dive mashal and captain on duty until they returned.
I would dive with Olli, who was PADI OWD with 17 dives, and this was hisr first dive on Hinkki and 3rd dive in dry suit. He had 12L single tank.

When 1st pair came up, I went diving with Olli with a plan of 45 min 15 meters to circle around the engine block and debris field.
Visibilty was pretty good, maybe 5 meters.
Camera set had a pretty good float and balance. I took some stills which seemed ok.
We went around the engine once, saw a line going to bow section, then along the axel pipe and back, Olli was getting low on air, so we ascended to top og engine block for safety stop and then back to surface.
Then boat ride back to harbour, stopped at Lauttasaari ST1 to fuel up, 40 liters of diesel.
The trip was nice opening of the season without incidents.
