Diving club KUPLA Saturday double wreck trip .
We were 12 divers so we needed both our boats.
I was assigned to be captain of Irmeli, the smaller RIB boat where I had 4 divers on board: me, Ville, Eero and Alex.
I hadn't actually been driving Irmeli myself since 2018 so was a bit struggling to remember all details of this boat.
We left Otaninemi harbour at 10:15.
The plan was that Irmeli would go first to Gustaf Adof wreck, then to Coolaroo. Hinkki would do the reverse route.
It was warm sunny weather, very light wind and small waves.
Alex wanted very much to drive the boat so I let him.
Just before the 2nd bridge there is a East maker which Alex passed on the wrong side, due to misunderstanding of instructions, but this wasn't serious as there was enough water and no rock nearby. People on the other boat did notice this and there was due remarks afterwards. We arrived to Gustaf Adof wreck at 11 and there were buoys at place, no other boats.
Ville and Eero dove 1st as a pair. They dived 45 min.
Then me and Alex. We dove around the wreck along the guide lines the whole round, from bow to stern and back. I took pictures. Visibity was pretty poor, 3-4 m, so decided not to take any video.
Then back up. Ville drove us to the Coolaroo site nearby.
I had my latest camera rig: Olympus TG-6 in PT-058, AOI UWL-4 lens. BGNing tray, attached on each side a Nanight 400 lumen video light attached to tray with two pieces of BGNing 8" carbon fiber float arms.
