Hiidenmaa Seals shoal

On Saturday the wind out at the sea was very strong. The first group went out to attempt diving with seals. Our group remained waiting and around lunch time we got informed that we would not be going out as the wind was too strong. Our group went to see the ruins of the Soviet era coastal artillery station nearby. When the other group returned we all went to see the new Hiiumaa Museum. After that we had a barbeque party.
Sunday morning 4 of us went out to the sea to see the seals. It was me, Leppis, Keni and Juha. All the others too the early ferry back to mainland and went diving the Rummy Quarry.
The seal expedition wasn’t very successful. At the shoals there were some seals, but they would not approach us. Me and Leppis tried twice to make contact underwater, but the seals would not come to us. Visibility was also very poor, less than 2 meters. So we did give it a try but had to return to harbor so we could pack up and leave.
Me and Leppis went to see the Tahkuna lighthouse before driving to the ferry. Then the ferry crossing and the big ferry back to Helsinki.
