14th and last dive of the trip.
Wednesday morning early wake up and Orbiit continued toward the wreck site of Ladoga. On the way we had to stop for almost an hour as there was a military exercise ongoing near Örö. The last dive of the trip was to the wreck of Ladoga.
As it was somewhat deep, I decide to use my D12 tanks that had contained Trimix, and now topped with Nitrox it was 28/17. I left out the 2 kg tank weight to see how that works. I did not notice however that the other 4 kg pocket had dropped off too.
Usually there is good visibility here, but this time it was really poor. I could not get any good idea about the ship. Half of the dive we spent looking for the ascent line.
Despite having 4 kg too little weight, I did mange to get to the bottom. But during the dive I felt I was really out of balance, but could not understand why. As dive progressed, I had to keep dumping the dry suit a lot until I felt there was no more air in the suit left. And it became difficult to stay on top of the wreck. Fortunately we found the ascent line after 35 min and decided to ascend. I really had to hold the line to stay at deco depths. We had to do 10 min deco. When I got back to boat, I did discover my dropped 4 kg weight pocket on the bench. That did explain my buoyancy issues during the dive.
After the dive Orbiit started sailing back to Kasnäs harbour. There I unloaded my stuff, and also Rupert took a ride with me back home.
So 14 dives we manged to do on this trip.
