Coolaroo kone ja sitten keula.
Coolaro engine and then bow.

An evening boat dive of diving club Kupla with Hinkki boat.
This was the first diving event with Hinkki this year after we laid it to water last week.
We were seven divers and the destination was selected to be the wreck of Coolaroo.
To the engine block (Kone).

The plan was to leave Otaniemi harbour at 17:30, but the actual time was 18:05.
I navigated to the destination and the boat ride took about one hour.
The bow part appeared to have a small buoy, but we wanted to find the engine.
We searched for the engine for about 10 minutes with sonar, visibilty was not good enough to see it from surface. We finally laid a drop shot buoy at 24.836368,60.187309 but uncertain how close to engine it was.
Laid anchor north of the shot.

Me and Mikko went to dive first. Mikko had a CCR, I had double tens with air. The plan was to look at engine first, then find the line to the bow part and go there and come back. Planned dive time 60 min.
We went down at 19:24 with no issues. The shot had dropped to rocks at 7 m depth.
The engine was found nearby. We circled the engine twice before we found the line to bow at 20 min. Then quickly swam to the bow which is 70 meters NE. At half way of the line there was a junction, left line leading to the top part and right line leading to bottom. We took the left line, found the bow section at the end, then swam on top of the hull port (left) side), the to the tip, down the anchor chain to 24 m. Then back to the line along the bottom. Then back the line to engine and to the shot line. Did a saftely stop and the ascended. Temperature was constant 5 degrees all the way, and did feel a bit cold, fingers and toes felt really cold.
There were no issues.
I had my Olympus TG-5 camera with me and took some underwater shots. The built-in flash was of no use, so took most photos in natural and dive torch light.

After last pair was up, we lifted anchor, pulled the shot up and returned to shore. I drove back and we stopped at the St1 fuel station at Lauttasaari and refueled the boat. with 40 liters of diesel.
Back at harbour about 10 pm.
