Previous dive to this site 2019-07-15 D724.

Evening trip with my club KUPLA on our Hinkki boat. We were 10 divers: me & Kimmo, Keni & Juha, Ville & Vode, Emmia & Marianne, Olli & Alpi. Olli was captain, Alpi the helmsman. Keni and me the dive marshals.
I had filled my D10 tanks previous evening and packed the car ready to drive to harbour.
We left harbour as planned at 17:00, arrived in good weather and smooth sailing to wreck site at 18:15, where the fixed buoy was at 60.11.402 N, 25.23.578 E. Me an Kimmo went diving first without any delay, down at 18:32. Surface weather was perfect, no wind or waves, 20 deg.
Down the chain to the rock at bottom and form there the guide line 25 m to the wreck’s bow. Visibility was typical to this site about 4 m. Water was 7 deg. We had 70 min plan. We circled the small wreck 4 rounds slowly exploring everything everywhere. The stern section had been damaged more and someone had stolen items. It was a smooth dive without issue and we spent almost the entire planned 70 min, surfacing 19:36. After surfacing it was Keni& Juha to water with a plan of 70 min, I became the dive marshal. They returned at 21:00, and we immediate started the engine and headed back. Filled the tank at Lauttasaari ST1, 70.24 liters diesel, cost 118 EUR. Then back to Otaniemi harbour at 22:20.
I used Olympus TG-6 camera in PT-058 housing, AOI UWL-04 wide angle wet lens (160 degree FOV). Attached to a tray with handles, 2x8" arms for 2x Nanight 4000 lumen video lights (120 degree beams).

Diana is the world's oldest remaining wreck of a paddlewheel ship.
It sank 1854-10-05 after hitting an underwater shallow while on route from Suomenlinna fortress to Ruotsinsalmi. The wreck was found in 2018. It now lies at a depth of 18 meters at N60.11.448 E25.23.406
The wreck is very fragile being 170 years old. As it is the only remaining wreck of this kind in the world, it must be considered as a world heritage site and handled with tender loving care. Visibility is not very good. There are many protruding parts. It is suitable only for very experienced wreck divers who have perfect buoyancy skills and are used to diving in bad visibility of the Bay of Finland.
